Our family bought one of those 18’x4’ round above ground pools to try out. Our pool is surrounded by sand and under sunlight all the time here in the northeast. It’s been a little tricky balancing chemicals and then introduce the added sand etc from the kids because of where it’s installed…ugh. I needed SOMETHING but didn’t want to commit to a heavy duty or expensive purchase for a smaller pool. Saw this at a local store, found it cheaper on Amazon, purchased it. What a great purchase! We put it right to use!Pros:Good suction for heavy sediment etcEasy to useEasy to clean after useCons:Turning off is difficult, need some muscle or creativity here. I assume it’s because of the watertight seal needed so I get it.Vacuum mouth is small so it may take a bit of time to do larger spaces or if there’s a lot of dirt. We spot clean regularly now so it’s not a big dealIt requires 5 D batteries….not cheap…haven’t burned through the first set so im not sure how often we will need to replace them but something to consider.
