Hzran Pet Ear Cleaner for Dogs & Cats - Bamboo Cotton Swabs for Cleaning & Medicine Application - Perfect for Small Pets

I needed these for my cats. Earmites are making life difficult. I have ear drops from the Vet. I needed ear swabs to clean out their ears. The swabs I received are for large dogs or other animals. They wouldn't even fit in any of my cats’ ears. Good thing I had Q-tips for a back up.Two of my male cats have very waxy ears which ends up very itchy for them. Regular cotton swabs were difficult to reach to the right area and the cotton was too loose and rough.These swabs are nice. They clean the deeper area where the wet wax collects and also clean the shallow surface areas where the dry and sticky wax collects. I can generally clean both ears with one swab. I do wish the cotton part was about half as long because the cotton bends the boys ear cartilage for the tip to reach the deep crevices and that's uncomfortable for them so I have to rush. I may try removing some of the cotton and seeing if that helps. Also, the bamboo stick is not flexible the way it seems. It takes a lot of force to make just the middle flex and it would be very uncomfortable to painful for the pet by that point. I guess if you were using it for gun cleaning or something then it would be appropriate, but it's advertised for pet ear cleaning first.Overall though the cotton tips are thick and smooth and they work well for the intended purpose.Not going to purchase again, not what I expected. Nicely package and shipped fast.These are very sturdy. Cotton stays in place, doesn’t come off when using it. Wish they were double sided.I got these because my cat has allergies and frequently gets wax built up inside her ears. I got these hoping they would help me clean her ears but realistically these are way too big to use on her. I ended up returning and buying some baby qtips from daiso instead which work great and we’re cheaperGood size and absorbency. Perfect for my rat terrier and much easier to work with than standard qtips.I love the fact that these are designed to NOT go into the ear canal of a dog's ear! AND the fact that they are biodegradable. TY!It helps a lot. I use it to clean the outside of my dog's ears and her paws.
