Description

Instruction Remove the oil dipstick and insert the extension tube into the dipstick pipe until it reaches the bottom of the oil pan. Connect the main tube with the extension tube in place. Choose your mode: For pneumatic mode, connect to an air compressor. For manual mode, pump the handle for 10 seconds (1 s/pump) to initiate auto extraction. After 30s, might need to pump again to maintain the vacuum and ensure the oil is fully drained. After extracting all the oil, press the decompression valve to release the unit's built-up pressure for 5 seconds. Remove the main tube, collect the used fluid in a separate container, and transport it to a nearby recycling center for proper disposal. Safety Precaution To make the extraction job smooth and easy, evacuate the oil while it is warm. Working temperature between 35°F-140°F (2-60 °C).Do not exceed or below its recommended working pressure—a suitable working pressure range of 40 to 170 psi (2.8 to 12 bar).Before extraction, make sure the tubes are connected tightly.In order to maintain the consistent vacuum pressure, please close the air inlet valve while operating in manual mode.In order to maintain the vacuum pressure in manual mode, after 30s, might need to pump again to ensure the oil is fully drained.DO NOT extract oil over the Limited Line on the oil extractor to prevent overflow. If the fluid goes over the Limited Line, it might flow into the vacuum chamber and cause leaking. The fluid should not exceed the limit line either while pouring. I did some research regarding oil extractors before I made this purchase. This comes with a venturi which creates a vacuum from pressure generated from an air compressor. One may also use the manual pump function, if you don't have a compressor (or you could just purchase a compressor, which you can use to inflate tires of all sizes, operate pneumatic tools, spray paint, blow air to clean many things). I was astonished to see how easy and complete the extractor functioned. Assembly took 3 minutes. I used it to extract oil on my Mercedes. Typically, the oil filters on European cars are visible under the hood. I've been driving this car up on ramps for years. But yesterday, I assembled the tool, (note: the main plug through which the oil drains into the extractor and through which one pours the oil into a container for recycling twists on counterclockwise); turned on the compressor, and the oil began to flow. In 5 minutes, I was ready to change the oil filter. Removed the cap from the canister, replaced the filter and o-rings, torqued down the cap, and measured the oil digitally from the dashboard. Done in minutes, with no oil spilled. (I found the oil drain plug location from a Youtube video). Mercedes doesn't really want you to know how easy this is. Mine is black in color, about 3" long and located toward the back of the engine on the passenger side, near where the transmission plug is located and just above the latter, which has a red dot. You can tell that you are extracting oil rather than transmission fluid by its color, smell, and feel. Replace plug, oil filler cap after filling with the appropriate oil. I love this device; I purchased the largest, since I plan to do multiple kids cars without draining. Smaller ones are quite a bit less. Extractor is sturdy, no fear of collapse under vacuum.
